Gerard Way’s Astrological Profile

Gerard Way

Astrologically in Relationships April 9, 1977.

(based on 12 noon, via synergy.com)

Had no idea Gerard was in the formidable group of: Year of the Snake.  It actually prompted me to publish this article and include the Western Astrology as well. I once had a cat that was ‘Year of the Snake’  & ever since have found it to be one of the most intriguing Eastern Signs, so publishing this is somewhat of an excuse to ‘highlight’ the Snake Sign!

Therefore I’ve  put together a cross section of what I found of interest.. Albeit am one of the first to be very ‘wary’ / dubious of a lot of astrology these days.. it can be fun though;

if you don’t take it too seriously… Sasha

From Top Synergy:

Serious and responsible, he tries to carry the world on his shoulders and rarely lets others know that he needs help and support. Gerard Way denies or ignores his own emotional needs and feels that others will not accept him if he appears “weak”. He is especially uncomfortable with emotional dependency, and tells himself and others (even children) not to be a “baby”. Gerard Way needs to accept that no one is self-sufficient all the time, and to be gentler with his “childish” emotional needs and wants. To others, he may appear to be rather hard-nosed and tough, with a businesslike attitude toward their personal concerns and feelings. Actually, no one is a truer friend. His feelings and loyalties run deep, but he often does not let people know how much he cares. Gerard Way also sometimes needs to learn to relax, enjoy himself, and play.

An Original Edit by Sasha

Gerard Way has a sympathetic nature and instinctively reaches out to people in need of help. Way also has a deeply ingrained tendency to want to improve or “fix” other people’s lives, which can be annoying to the person who has no desire to be changed or “helped” in this way. For Gerard, affection and caring must be expressed in tangible acts of some kind.

His attitude toward other people is very emotional and Gerard Way feels a certain soul affinity with them. Gerard has an inner need to express his feelings to others and is especially partial to groups where he can help to further their accomplishments.

He is subject to changing moods and tends to alternate between associating with others and being completely alone, seeking to regenerate himself in solitude. Gerard Way seems to be too critical of himself and tends to generate distance from others.

His love feelings and desires are easily aroused but he may find it difficult to sustain his romantic interest in relationships after the initial, exciting “chase and conquest”. Gerard Way enjoys a dynamic partner with a strong independent streak, and he does not like things to become too peaceful or predictable in the love arena. Gerard wants to see sparks fly once in awhile, even if it means instigating a fight.

Gerard is attracted to foreigners, exotic places, traveling and people who can expand his horizons, teach him something, or show him places and worlds he has never experienced before. Sharing a philosophy or ideal with his love partner is important to him.

Moreover, Gerard Way feels love and kinship for people everywhere, not only for his own family, nationality, or group. Finding similarities and making links between people from differing backgrounds or with different perspectives is a gift of his.

Loyalty, fidelity and security are very important to Gerard Way in love relationships. He is cautious about giving his heart away but true to the one who does win his love. His tastes are simple, even austere, and he does not appreciate frivolity. Way is interested in a person’s character and inner qualities far more than in his or her appearance. Casual or superficial relationships do not interest Gerard Way at all, for love seems to get deeper and richer and more satisfying for him with time.

Sensitive and compassionate, Way tends to be the “giver” in any relationship. Gerard has high ideals and a refined attitude towards love relationships, seeking to relate in ways that go beyond egotistical and selfish needs. Gerard is attracted to people with artistic or mystical inclinations.

An Original Edit by Sasha

Intimate relationships are the arena in which Gerard Way explores the depths he is capable of. He could fall intensely and fanatically in love and be obsessive, extraordinarily jealous or deeply involved with his partners. Way will experience both heaven and hell in his closest relationships. There is undoubtedly a peculiarly karmic, fated quality to these relationships, which – though difficult – will teach Gerard Way things about himself and about love that he could not learn in any other way. Way will often enter relationships which he realizes – rationally – will be very difficult, yet he cannot resist them, nonetheless. Gerard Way needs not to avoid berating himself for these “bad” choices; instead, he needs to learn what he can from them.

His energy and initiative seem to be a bit weak and could frequently inhibit Gerard’s sex life. His unrealistic ideals about relationships could lead to disillusionment, and Gerard Way may feel that real mortals are disappointing, and prefer his fantasies.

General Characteristics

Gerard Way’s fundamental needs, values, and orientation towards life are symbolized by the four astrological elements. Each person has their own unique balance of these four basic energies: fire (warmth, inspiration, enthusiasm), earth (practicality, realism, material interests), air (social and intellectual qualities), and water (emotional needs and feelings).

Way’s “elemental make-up” is described below. Remember that most people are “unbalanced” or lopsided, and if Gerard is lacking or deficient in a certain element (or elements), it simply means that he needs to consciously develop that particular aspect in order to appreciate and/or work harder in that dimension of life.

Sometimes we overestimate the element that we are least endowed with, sensing it as a lack within ourselves, but more often we neglect or ignore it. The qualities described below will be reiterated and explained in more detail in the following pages.

He is often so enthusiastically involved in his projects and intent on achieving results that Gerard Way does not take sufficient time to reflect and gain an objective sense of what he is doing. Furthermore, he is apt to override or ignore anyone who raises reasonable questions about what he is doing. Way rarely asks for advice or seeks feedback.

Cooperating and learning how to give and take in relationships between equals does not come easily to Gerard, and he is more comfortable in relationships where one person is clearly more dominant (chief-subordinate, teacher-pupil, parent-child, etc.). Gerard Way also has trouble understanding and communicating with people whose interests and approach toward life differ from his own because he tends to view differences as a conflict or threat.

Gerard Way needs to develop the capacity to appreciate differences and to see himself objectively.

Gerard Way

Pictures, Original Edits by Sasha

The following is a description of Gerard’s basic stance toward life, the way others see him, the way Gerard Way comes across, the face he shows to the world. In the page about motivation you will read about the inner Gerard Way – his real motivation, which describes the kind of person he is at heart and where his true priorities lie. Study this page and the next one and compare them – there may be significant differences between the two, in which case “the inner Gerard Way” may not shine through and others may be in for so a few surprises once they get to know Gerard a little better. This page describes the disguise Way wears, his role in life, while the page about motivation talks about the real person beneath the disguise.

Ferociously proud and somewhat vain, Gerard Way likes to be impressive and to be considered special and unique. He is not timid, meek, or self-effacing, and is rarely content with staying in the background or in a subordinate position. He is a natural leader, and does not take orders from others very well. Way must have something of his own, something creative – be it a business, a project, a home or whatever – that he can develop and manage according to his own will and vision. Whatever Gerard does, he does it in a unique, dramatic, individual way. He likes to put his own personal stamp on it.

Gerard Way also has a very strong sense of dignity, self-respect, and personal honor and is deeply offended if someone treats him in a humiliating or dishonorable way. Way will rarely confront the offender – he is too proud to do so – but he will lose his affection and respect for them. Gerard dislikes pettiness and hates to be snubbed or ignored.

Way admires others who are strong individuals like himself. When Gerard Way befriends someone, Way is tremendously loyal, sincere, and willing to go to extraordinary lengths to make that person happy. He is very giving and generous, but his gifts are never anonymous – Gerard expects recognition and appreciation for them. He also expects the intense loyalty that he offers to his dear ones to be reciprocated. However, Gerard Way often has trouble developing relationships with people who are as strong as himself, for he does not really cooperate or share the leading role very easily. If he is not in the leading role, he aspires to be and will compete with the person who is.

Gerard Way has great heart and courage, and people often look to him for strength, encouragement, and affirmation. Gerard always puts his best face forward and rarely allows others to see him hurting, disheartened, or vulnerable. Gerard Way also has a very strong need for love, admiration, appreciation, and praise, although he does not like others to realize just how important it is to him.

His outlook on life tends to be very personal and rather self-centered. His own self-expression, self-actualization and self-realization interest Gerard more than anything else. Gerard Way feels that if he does his best where he is, the rest of the world will take care of itself.

Way projects a feeling of broad-mindedness, generosity, and beneficence, a sense that he is someone others should listen to and treat with respect. Because Gerard Way generally makes such a favorable impression on people, many doors are open to him, and he may appear to be somewhat luckier than other people. This is primarily due to the confidence that Gerard Way emanates.

In significant ways, Way’s emotional nature and personal needs are at odds with the way he presents himself. As a result of this inconsistency, Gerard Way may be uncomfortable showing his instinctive responses and true feelings. He may put them aside and may even be ashamed of them.

When Gerard Way is in an emotionally charged situation, those who do not know him well may be quite surprised at his reactions or behavior. The real challenge, though, is to completely accept himself, so that he does not act as if his emotional needs and impulses did not count for very much.

Inner Motivation

Behind Way’s proud and magnanimous demeanor (as described on the previous page) lies a real go-getter. Others feel that he is rather narcissistic. Gerard Way should strive to always be aware of others’ needs and concerns to prove this criticism wrong!

via ex.fm

He is a person who thrives on challenge, and he often feels that he must battle his way through life, relying on no one and nothing but his own strength, intelligence and courage. Gerard Way believes in being totally honest, true to himself and his own vision and convictions, even if it means standing alone. Honesty, integrity, personal honor and authenticity are Way’s gods, and he has no sympathy for weakness of character in others.
An Original Edit by Sasha

Gerard Way craves the freedom to do things in his own way, and he works very well independently. Cooperating with others or carrying out another’s will is not his style. Gerard likes to be the chief – or to go it alone.

Gerard Way loves action and if others are settling down into a nice, comfortable little rut, then he is always ready to stir things up, do something new, make changes and introduce some fresh blood. Routine and sameness are tantamount to death for him. He is not afraid of trying something that has never been done before, and even though he may sometimes be perceived as a fool, Gerard Way also discovers, invents and initiates things that others will later emulate. Taking risks and following his own star are the breath of life for Way, and he wilts (or gets very frustrated and angry) if he cannot do this.

He is spontaneous, impulsive, direct, enthusiastic and assertive. Gerard Way believes in the power of positive thinking and positive action, and he perceives himself as a strong, even invincible, person. Gerard Way hates being ill or in a position of dependency. Accepting his own human limitations and emotional needs is often difficult for him.

He is basically aggressive in his attitudes and less adept at relating to others, picking up on subtle messages and nuances, listening, nurturing and harmonizing. He is often so fired up about his own projects or goals that he inadvertently runs over or ignores other people’s feelings and interests. Being receptive and appreciative of others’ contributions, ideas and feelings would be highly instrumental in improving Way’s relationships. His impatience to get on with things causes Gerard Way to be rather insensitive, thereby alienating others unnecessarily. He also frequently tries to accomplish his goals through anger or temper tantrums. Gerard Way would gain much by learning to slow down, relax and sometimes just let things be, however his energetic, restless nature rarely allows Gerard Way to do so.

Way is very attracted to world travel, foreign cultures and studies that expand his intellectual horizons and broaden his understanding of the world.

Gerard Way is philosophically inclined and concerned with seeking answers to the big questions of life or getting an overall picture of any situation. Abstract concepts and/or plans for the future occupy his mind much of the time.

Gerard Way is loving and well loved by others, and has a strong need for relationships that offer kindness, friendship and affection. His artistic and creative powers are also well developed and Gerard does everything in a harmonious, gracious, pleasing manner. Aesthetics are very important to Way, as are his personal appearance and attractiveness.

He is imaginative and sensitive to anything colorful, beautiful or magical. He is attracted to artistic and creative pursuits, music and mysticism. His spiritual values color Gerard’s whole perspective and approach to life. He is idealistic and perhaps impractical.

Gerard Way has a strong need to be with people whom he is emotionally close to. He is very sensitive to others emotional needs, lending a sympathetic ear to their problems. Peace and harmony in his personal surrounding and relationships are very important to Way.

Gerard Way tends to impose his will upon others in a rather ruthless way, but on the other hand he may also be imposed upon by others. Gerard feels a constant need to fight for leadership and has a great desire to become a public figure.

Mental Interests and Abilities

His mind operates in a very deliberate and methodical manner and Gerard Way dislikes being rushed or forced into give an opinion before he has thoroughly ruminated and digested an idea. He is also difficult to sway once his mind is made up.

Though slower at grasping new concepts or learning new skills, he is patient and persevering and in fact, often becomes quite adept at whatever he sets his mind to for he is willing to devote much time and attention to it. Gerard Way succeeds, not so much because of his intellectual brilliance, but because he has the ability to concentrate and follow a project through to its completion. Gerard has an aptitude for singing or drawing.

An Original Edit by Sasha

Gerard Way thinks a great deal about his career, his reputation and public image, and the way he makes a contribution or impact on the world at large. Public speaking or some other form of communication is likely to be an important aspect of Gerard Way’s work.

Gerard Way would be an excellent teacher or counselor for he listens sympathetically and encourages others to express their inner thoughts and feelings. People trust and confide in Gerard, and he is able to read between the lines and sense what their feelings are as well as what they are saying. Way works well with and understands women as well as the emotional, feminine side of life. He is articulate on personal (rather than factual or technical) subjects. Keeping a diary or journal would be satisfying for Way. Gerard Way also has a talent for learning languages.

An Original Edit by Sasha

Although he is perceptive and attuned to the personal, human side of any issue (as described above), Gerard Way is also capable of considerable intellectual detachment and objectivity. Way combines the qualities of being subjective and intuitive with a rational, analytical approach. Gerard has an introverted frame of mind and tends to dissect or deeply analyze his own inner life and experiences as well as those of others.

Gerard Way has an aptitude for solving difficult mental problems due to his careful, methodical approach, attention to detail and tenacity in following a matter through to its conclusion. Gerard Way has well-honed powers of concentration and enjoys studying and thinking in solitude. Way can get entirely wrapped up in his own thoughts and completely engrossed in a minor detail. He is slow and cautious, but extremely thorough in his work. Conservative and somewhat of a skeptic, he may be narrow-minded or closed to any idea that has no concrete proof or scientific verification. He prefers dealing with facts rather than abstract speculation. Gerard Way may also be distrustful or fearful of anything he cannot understand with his rational mind. He is well-suited to work in research or any field that requires careful study and thought.

Way will notice that the description below contradicts some of the statements made in the previous paragraphs. So far, Gerard Way’s thinking was depicted as careful, conservative, methodical and possibly narrow or rigid, while the following information defines his mind as quick and innovative. Both are true! Gerard Way incorporates both ways of thinking – the inspired-inventive and the deductive-ordered. Here is a description of the more free-flowing aspect:

Gerard Way has a brilliant, inventive mind, and Way’s sudden flashes of insight and clear perception enable him to grasp concepts very quickly. At times Way’s mind flits from one subject to the next so rapidly that Gerard Way cannot thoroughly digest any of them. Gerard gets bored and restless, and intellectually rebels against too much tedium. He may be abrupt and impatient with people who plan and plod along, because Gerard Way likes to be open to inspiration and spontaneous. Way could invent or discover something truly original, unique or unheard of.

Way is generally in a positive frame of mind and he has the ability to express himself well. Gerard Way could be successful in speaking, lecturing, writing, or acting. Gerard might also be interested in issues of health, diet etc. and may consider a profession in the medical field.

He is optimistic, has a sense of humor and he loves to entertain. Gerard Way does everything in a loving way and considers love as a decisive enrichment of his life. Just thinking of future happiness in love relationships seems to make Gerard happy.

Drive and Ambition

He is non-combative, non competitive, and somewhat of a pacifist. Way will give something up rather than fight for it. He may seem weak-willed or ineffectual, for he does not have a powerful ego drive for personal achievement and material advantage, or for winning at the expense of someone else. Being first, being best or being on top does not mean much to Gerard Way, and he can be quite happy in a supporting role, working for the benefit of others or for a cause that he believes in. Gerard Way is gentle and impressionable and is motivated by less mundane and less tangible things than most other people. He may have difficulty formulating clear, definite personal goals and making his way in the world. Gerard has many dreams, high ideals and a strong mystical or religious impulse. Gerard Way also has a creative imagination and can successfully apply himself to art or music. Gerard Way has a sensitive physique and he needs to maintain good regular health habits in order to build strength and stamina.

Gerard Way encounters numerous challenges and possibly defeats in the pursuit of his goals and desires, and his setbacks often occur because Gerard has been too rash or intent on satisfying his own will regardless of the impact on others. Gerard Way is intense and passionate, and simply does not know when to stop sometimes! Recklessness with others can be a problem for Way.

Ordinary life often seems drab and uninteresting to Gerard and he must have something that stirs his imagination – a vision or ideal or dream to motivate him. Gerard Way has a strong urge to act out his fantasies or to live his dream, and Gerard Way will act where others merely talk or dream. Artistic creation, drama or other areas in which Way can express himself imaginatively are excellent for him.

Work that only serves his own narrow personal interests does not satisfy Gerard Way. He may lack the competitive edge, the fighting spirit, the “me first” attitude that is often required for material advancement and success. He also tends to either overestimate or underestimate his own power and abilities.

He is likely to feel depressed frequently and has a strong desire to overcome it, but may not be able to count on much support from others. Gerard Way tends to separate himself from others and he feels like being expelled from society.

He is capable of overcoming tremendous odds, and of enormous self-discipline and focus. When Gerard Way sets his sights on achieving something or is presented with a thorny challenge, it is his capacity for streamlining, making do with very little and sailing through tough times that enables Gerard Way to ultimately triumph.

Positions of honor, affluence, influence and stature in his community can be his. Gerard Way feels that his destiny involves leadership or distinguishing himself in some way. Gerard possesses an innate sense of greatness or importance, and a strong drive to achieve recognition for his talent. Gerard Way should avoid excessive egotism and arrogant pride, for these could limit his opportunities.

Way achieves his objectives and ambitions in life through his personal charm, attractiveness and ability to please others visually and/or emotionally. A career in the arts or entertainment world is possible for Gerard Way. Anything involving sales or promotion, particularly of beautiful or luxurious items, is an area he can flourish in. Vanity or indiscretions in relationships could lead Gerard Way to his downfall.

Gerard Way has a spiritual gift or vocation that colors his personal ambitions and drive for achievement. Helping people or serving the Whole is part of his role in life. Music, the arts, entertainment, and/or imagery, visualization or imagination may all be aspects of Gerard’s endeavor in the world.

Way relates to others with great feeling and empathy and is able to sense people’s moods so that he can appeal to their deepest emotional concerns. Gerard Way is likely to build his personal relationships on a spiritual basis.

Growth and Expansion

Gerard has the ability to see connections between seemingly unrelated ideas or worlds, and to bring them together. He excels in any field requiring clear intellect, and verbal and communication skills. Gerard has an insatiable curiosity and may read or watch television constantly in order to satisfy his need for mental stimulation. His mind never stops.

He has good fortune working with groups, organizations and others who share his ideals. Gerard Way has the potential to go further if he merges his efforts with those of other groups such as networks or civic associations. Social improvement, or benefiting his community is very important to Way.

He is very generous in his relationships and can only be truly happy when his house is full of people. Without people, Gerard Way cannot seem to enjoy himself. He is much more confident in team work, rather than doing something by himself.

Challenges and Difficulties

He is very self-conscious and has a great need for ego-affirmation and praise. Expressing himself freely and openly is not easy for Way. Gerard Way tends to work hard at playing and “having fun”, rather than being light-hearted and spontaneous. Developing self-love and self-acceptance regardless of his “performance” is an important task for Gerard.

Gerard Way has a mature, disciplined, serious attitude toward life that colors everything he does. Caution and realism are his virtues though Gerard limits himself at times by being too careful, shy or fearful, not believing in himself enough, or lacking the required assertiveness. Others find Gerard Way difficult to get to know intimately, as Way tends to distance himself from them or to outwardly adopt a rather stern, “adult” demeanor.

Gerard Way becomes tense and upset rather easily. He becomes irritated by the unwillingness of others to make changes. In his eagerness to see his inspirations materialize, Way is inclined to forego tact and diplomacy in favor of achieving his goals. His occasional outbreaks of brusque, insensitive behavior often do more harm than good.

Gerard Way has a tendency to be overly critical of himself. He may be plagued by feelings of guilt about certain past events, leading to further self-doubt. Gerard must learn to handle his frustration, depression and discontent and try to overcome his lack of self-confidence.

Gerard dislikes tense or frustrating situations and has a strong desire to free himself from them. Acting quickly at times, Gerard suddenly overcomes his inner inhibitions. Gerard Way also has the ability to aptly grasp difficult situations and to use them for his advancement.

Now we will discuss patterns of behavior which Gerard Way instinctively and habitually reverts to when under stress – a mostly subconscious process that he is apt to over indulge in because it is so familiar and hence easy for him. The direction Gerard Way needs to follow in order to develop balance, greater awareness, and wholeness is also described.

Instinctively he is a fighter and an individualist who can stand alone when necessary. Very often, however, Gerard stands alone when he does not need to, not realizing the support, assistance, and resources others may have to offer. Gerard Way has a tendency to “reinvent the wheel” and to feel that he must be self-reliant and that only he can come up with the answers he needs. Implicit in this attitude is a kind of arrogance as well as a rather competitive approach, which – at its worst – can alienate him from others, or make Gerard Way feel that “it is me against the world”.

Social skills and graces and what Gerard Way calls social “games” do not come naturally to him. Gerard Way needs to learn how to share and join others, and how to negotiate and resolve conflict with others in a cooperative way.

It is in trying to strike a balance between Way’s inner, personal life and his career or involvement with the world at large that he is most likely to wrestle with these issues. Gerard Way needs to focus attention on his home and family situation, and create a secure inner anchor.

The specific habits which are likely to hold Gerard Way back, or which he is prone to overdo, especially during stressful periods, include:

Being excessively egocentric or proud, needing personal recognition and applause, wanting to be center stage all the time, needing to be important and special.

Way is able to cooperate with people harmoniously, and others see him as a welcome comrade. Gerard likes to work hand-in-hand with everyone and has excellent teamwork ability.

Creativity, Originality and Imagination

Areas Where Gerard Way is Creative, Unique, Unstable, or Compulsive

His childhood or his relationship with his parents was unsettling or unstable in some way, so that Gerard Way may have never felt that he was standing on solid ground. One of his parents may have been unusual, eccentric, or an inconstant influence in his life. Abrupt changes in location or in family relationships may have made Gerard feel insecure, but positively – he was given more freedom and less pressure to conform to conventions, which enables Gerard Way to be more of an individual and less tethered to restrictive ideas of how one “should” behave, feel, or live.

His creative self-expression has a very imaginative quality, and Gerard Way has a particular affinity for drama, theater, film, and other artistic mediums in which creative fantasy plays a major role.

In love relationships and romance as well, Gerard Way often has glamorous fantasies that have little to do with reality.

Gerard Way has a probing, penetrating mind and is highly analytical and critical in his thinking. Work that involves research, investigating mysteries or hidden causes, or deep study and analysis suits him very well.

He is also a convincing speaker, bringing others around to his own point of view by the intensity of his convictions.

Way may be blessed with sudden runs of good luck and may develop a liking for speculating and gambling. Although taking chances may pay off for Gerard Way at times, he may also loose his winnings as easily as he acquires them.

Way instinctively knows the right time to start a project and seems to be fortuitous in any new enterprise or venture. He is likely to be recognized in his field and probably will be very prosperous. Success could come to Gerard Way very suddenly.

Gerard Way tends to underestimate his ability to succeed and is often unable to follow through on his intentions. He is quick to resign, easily drained and should guard against depression and negative mental, emotional or physical reactions.

His thinking may be a bit unclear and Gerard Way has the tendency to periodically feel lonely and distant from others. Fear of his own inadequacies may distort his perspective and at times Gerard may feel that he no longer has the strength to go on.

Gerard Way tends to be a bit over-zealous in speech and has marked analytical skills, but is inclined to criticize others, leading to frequent fights. Gerard Way loves verbal battles and has the energy and endurance to out-talk anyone.

He is subject to negative moods and tends to look at life from a very dark point of view. His objectives are likely to be unclear and at times Gerard Way may feel incapable of coping with even ordinary things of life, resulting in discouragement and depression.

Generational Influences

Here we will discuss characteristics and traits of Gerard Way’s generation. Of course, Gerard may not share all of the characteristics of his generation, but he is greatly affected by the tone that is set by his generation.

The first topic focuses on the subconscious and emotional drive of this age group. In this section we will describe a deeply felt urge – and even compulsion – of Gerard’s age group. This deeply felt drive comes to the surface very forcefully, thereby leaving considerable upheaval and change in its wake. The second topic concerns the dreams, fantasies and spiritual aspirations of Gerard’s age group. The third and last topic describes what is new and different in his age group; it highlights areas in which Way’s age group tends to be innovative, inventive and unusual, as well as where it may be unstable and unreliable.

The characteristics described below may affect a group of people for anywhere from a few years to about 30 years. There are one or more different astrological factors described in each of the three sections below.

The Subconscious and Emotional Drive of Gerard Way’s Age Group

Gerard Way is part of a 12-year group of people who are deeply interested in personal relationships. Gerard Way’s age group has a deeply rooted yearning for effective and harmonious communication between people. There is little egotism involved and they are amply prepared to listen to the other person’s side of the story, compromise and accept different points of view. In fact, the need for harmonious, peaceful relationships is so strong that there is a tendency to overlook real differences and to only focus on similarities in an attempt to foster harmony between the different parties involved.

Interest in psychology and sociology is keen in Gerard Way’s age group. There is heightened awareness of social skills. His age group will experiment with different marriage styles, family relationships, and even business relationships in an attempt to promote fair treatment and effective communication between people. Interest and appreciation for other cultures is also strong, and Way’s age group will work hard to preserve and support the cultural heritage of all ethnic groups.

Deep yearning for equitable and harmonious relationships is also reflected in major advancements in trade agreements, arms control, and international cooperation that are designed and implemented by Way’s generation. These agreements and policies foster a much safer and more cooperative environment for all, although there is also a tendency for greedy individuals to take advantage of the conciliatory atmosphere and twist situations to their own ends.

In short, Gerard Way is part of a generation of individuals who are deeply interested in other people; it is a humanistic and humanitarian group. They will struggle and experiment with personal relationships, and forge new models for how people can relate as friends, family members, and members of nations as well.

The Ideals and Illusions of Gerard Way’s Age Group

Gerard Way is part of a 14-year group of people that are extremely idealistic and intuitive. Gerard Way’s age group is very liberal and expansive in outlook, and consequently religious institutions become much more flexible and eclectic in their approach during Way’s lifetime. Religions that do not adapt to the broad-minded attitude of Way’s age group are simply unable to attract much interest or involvement.

An Original Edit by Sasha

Intense metaphysical musings are evident in Gerard Way’s age group, and they share a very deep interest in all manner of psychic phenomena, UFO’s, prophecies, etc. This interest will open many new doors and insights, but will also often lead to a great deal of fantasizing and speculation that is taken more seriously than it should be.

The entire generation to which Gerard Way belongs has tremendous opportunities for spiritual rebirth and awakening. This will not be forced upon Way or precipitated by unavoidable events, but rather will come from an inner yearning and a natural propensity to seek out depth.

What is New and Different in Gerard Way’s Age Group

Gerard Way is part of a 7-year group of people who shatter all manner of taboos regarding death, sex, and any other personal, private, or difficult topics. Gerard Way’s age group is less modest about sex than other age groups and promiscuity is not uncommon. Gerard Way loves emotional intensity, and there are many extremists and fanatics in Gerard Way’s age group.

Gerard Way, the predominance of planets in the Southern hemisphere prompts you to take action, to draw attention on yourself, and to make your actions and what you have in mind visible to everyone. Sometimes, without giving a single thought to, and to the detriment of, a richer inner life and a deeper and wiser reflection. Action and communication are inevitable in your opinion, and you tend to think that the only thing that matters is what is seen! This is not always true, and it is up to you to progress through the development of inner qualities such as meditation, solitude and imagination so as to become stronger.

The Eastern part, on the Ascendant side, shows the person’s ego, will, magnetism, and vitality, whereas the Western part, on the Descendant side, symbolizes other people, communication, relationships and their influence, as well as flexibility and adaptability.

The predominance of planets in the Eastern hemisphere of your chart enables you, Gerard Way, to assert yourself and to rely on your determination: you know what you want and you have a tendency to take action and to decide with your personal goals as priorities, even if they can be in contradiction with what others think.

A definite asset… provided that you never make mistakes in your choices. You should pay more attention to your entourage in order to counterbalance your nature and to take advantage of your assets wisely. The danger is that you may be too authoritarian and not conciliating enough. Strong determination coupled with flexibility and acute sense of communication are qualities you should develop.

Each quadrant is a combination of the four hemispheres of your birth chart and relates to a character typology. The Southern hemisphere – the top of your chart, around the Midheaven – is associated with extraversion, action, and public life, whereas the Northern hemisphere prompts to introversion, reflexion, and private life. The Eastern hemisphere – the left part, around the Ascendant – is linked to your ego and your willpower, whereas the Western hemisphere indicates how other people influence you, and how flexible you are when you make a decision.

The three most important planets in your chart are Mercury, Neptune and Uranus.

With Mercury among your dominant planets, you are certainly cerebral, nervous, swift, curious, quick-witted, and you love to communicate. Your psychological pattern is intellectual, all the more so since Mercury is important, with its whole set of assets but also of weaknesses, obviously.

Your sensitivity, emotions, and heart’s impulses give precedence to thinking, which can lead people to believe that you are a playful and witty but heartless person, intellectualizing situations and juggling with words and numbers whilst ignoring human aspects of things. Of course, it is said that cats always land on their feet – this is your Mercurian strength and your trump card!

Your weakness lies in your nervousness, and you may miss your goal because of your “over-intellectualization” that may be detrimental to other kind of energies such as instinct, spontaneity, heart, sensitivity, etc.

With Neptune as one of your three dominant planets, you are a secretive and ambiguous person, often confused or unclear about your own motivations! Indeed, you are endowed with unlimited imagination and inspiration, as well as with an extreme sensibility that may turn you into a psychic or a clairvoyant. On the other hand, your impressionability is such that you may have difficulties in separating what is concrete and solid from illusions or dreams.

A mystic, a visionary or a poet, you daydream, like any Neptunian, and you see what few people only can see, all of this being shrouded in aesthetic mists when you are fired with enthusiasm.

A boundless, infinity-loving man like you is inevitably likely to be more vulnerable and easily hurt because of your acute perception of events. In such cases, you are hit full in the face, and you may sink into gloomy daydreamings and dark melancholy.

That said, this mysterious aura definitely gives you an indefinable charm in the eyes of your close friends who are often fascinated by your unique ability to feel and to see what ordinary people can never see!

Uranus is among your dominant planets: just like Neptune and Pluto, Uranian typology is less clearly defined than the so-called classical seven planets that are visible to the naked eye, from the Sun to Saturn. However, it is possible to associate your Uranian nature with a few clear characteristics: Uranus rhymes with independence, freedom, originality, or even rebelliousness and marginality, when things go wrong…

Uranus is Mercury’s higher octave and as such, he borrows some of its traits of character; namely, a tendency to intellectualize situations and emotions with affective detachment, or at least jagged affectivity.

Therefore, you are certainly a passionate man who is on the lookout for any kind of action or revolutionary idea, and you are keen on new things. Uranians are never predictable, and it is especially when they are believed to be stable and well settled that… they change everything – their life, partner, and job! In fact, you are allergic to any kind of routine, although avoiding it must give way to many risks.

Planets: Jupiter

Jupiter represents expansion and power, benevolence, large vision and generosity. Its element is Air, it is hot and moist, and it rules Sagittarius and Pisces (along with Neptune), is in exaltation with Cancer and is in analogy with the hips and endocrinal system.

It represents the governors, magistrates, professors, religious men too; the age of Jupiter goes from 50 to 55 or even 70 years old.

Temperament : Sanguine

Characterology : Emotive, Active, Primary type; it is an extrovert Choleric. Actually the humid version of Mars, inclined to action like him.

Interpretation of the 1° Gemini symbolic degree

“A man holding a dagger between his teeth climbs a wall with a rope ladder.”

Courageous, bold, and honest character. One can achieve success in the magistracy, the military, or the police. One has the strength required to overcome hurdles, and one accomplishes some outstanding feat which is rewarded by honours and a high-level position.

Jupiter in Gemini

The planet Jupiter symbolizes expansion, broadness and generosity. Jupiter is associated with the functions of synthesis, enthusiasm and optimism. In your natal chart, his house position is more important than his sign position because, like Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, he is a slow planet. Many people born in the same period have Jupiter in the same sign. This is the reason why the sign occupied here is less meaningful than when it is occupied by the so-called fast planets, i.e. the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars. Therefore, some caution is to be exercised as you read what follows. Jupiter in Gemini increases your mental creativity, your imagination and your capacity for adaptation. The outcomes may not be seen externally but this configuration usually develops your sense of contact: when Gemini’s well-known frivolousness and scattering meet with Jupiter’s synthesizing mind and tidiness, it can only endow you with the best assets for your communication and intellectual pursuits.

Jupiter in House XII

Jupiter is in the 12th House, in the sector of freely accepted sacrifices, and predisposes to devotion. This configuration is a mark of generosity and dedication. You commit yourself to a cause or an ideal. The range is wide: religious life, philanthropic actions, taking care of the members of your entourage, or just commendable interest in them. Altruism is a safe bet. You behave as a Saint Bernard, even though it means endangering your personal comfort, and you find yourself hoping for external aid.

Jupiter Dominant

If Jupiter is part of your natal chart’s planetary dominants, in astrology, you are said to be a Jupiterian: because this planet brings about a keen interest in social and professional success, the Tradition considers it to be beneficial. Indeed, you know how to adjust to events and to jump at the chance when it arises. The members of you entourage gladly entrust you with high responsibilities because they are often impressed by your learning skills and your adaptation abilities as you deal with new structures and new languages. What is the secret of your good star? It is your self-confidence which wins public support. Now, what is the secret of your charm? Definitely, enthusiasm, euphoria, and exaltation. Exaggeration also. When this dominant is well integrated, it is a factor of affluence and optimism, and a certain degree of joviality enables you to easily fit into various spheres. It constitutes your main asset to manage your life. However, you must at times curb your desire for integration, lest your sense of opportunity turns into extreme opportunism. Here also, the key to success lies in a correct estimate of everyone’s chances and possibilities. Although management is one of your forte, and you can adjust your objectives to current realities better than other people, you lack the hindsight which enables you to avoid short-term vagaries and daily fluctuations. If you strive too much to adapt, you run a risk of betraying yourself. This is the other traditional side of the coin with “The Greater Benefic”!

Year of the SNAKE
1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001

Chinese Symbol for the Year of the snake

Snakes have always been the seducers of human beings. If you know the story of “The White Snake”, you will understand what I mean. In reality, Snake people are born charming and popular. Snakes are spotlight magnets, and they will not be ignored. Peer group attention and public recognition are the least of what he expects. Yet Snakes are never noisy or deliberately outspoken, and they have excellent manners. Unlike the Snake who seduced Eve into sin. the astrological Snake, is not a devil, not even a little demon.

The Snake is a nice oversexed normal human being. Determined to follow through anything he undertakes to the bitter end, the Snake detests being left in the air. He makes his decisions quickly and firmly. Most people are secretly or hopelessly in love with Snakes. Gather those frustrated folk you know and most likely, they are probably in love with a Snake. Irresistible as they seem, the Snake never wastes time in idle gossip. He thinks often and deeply. He is an intellectual, a philosopher, a cerebral person.

Snake people rely heavily on first impressions, on their own feelings, on their sympathies, rather than on facts, or the advice and opinions of others. He seems to have a kind of sixth sense in this way.Snakes are a bit tight when it comes to lending money, though his sympathy for others often leads him to offer help. The fatal flaw in his character is, in fact, a tendency to exaggerate – in helping friends as with everything else. If he does somebody a favor, he becomes possessive towards them in an odd way.

Another big flaw in a Snake’s character is that, they are capable of biggie lies. White lies, true lies, whatever they call them, though they don’t lie often, they do lie when they feel they can get away with it.In money matters, the Snake has good luck: he doesn’t have to worry – he’ll always be able to lay his hand on money when he needs it. Generally, Snakes are careful but generous with friends and family.

The Snake should stick to careers that won’t involve him in any risk – even the risk of working too hard, for to tell the truth, the Snake is a bit lazy.In love, the Snake male is romantic and charming. He has a sense of humor and the female is usually beautiful and successful. but if a Snake chooses a partner, he’ll be jealous and possessive – even if he no longer loves her. Rejection is the worst blow his delicate ego can suffer. The Snake must be received, welcomed, accepted and approved by those with whom he comes in contact. They need a lot of security.

Personality-wise, Snakes are not people who can be easily ignored. They possess a strong, charismatic presence and a charm which has been described by some astrologers as “bewitching” or “beguiling.” With a penetrating eye and attention to the desires of their conquests, they’re known as experts in the art of seduction.People born during the Year of the Snake are said to be endowed with wisdom and with deep philosophical understanding.

They are born thinkers who excel in finding solutions to complex problems. In matters of business they can be shrewd, biding their time in making a deal only to strike like lightning and make a killing when they judge the moment is right. Thus in life, the majority of Snakes are financially successful and generally lucky with money; their fortunes very much depend on their careful and considered judgment in financial affairs and on their intuitive feelings in business negotiations. These are clever, intelligent people who take time to formulate their ideas and opinions.

Even when they are at their laziest, their minds are working overtime, laying their schemes and hatching their plots for the future.Snakes are wise, philosophical, calm, and understanding. They are receptive and physically alluring, often fickle. Success and fame come easily to Snakes. They can be treacherous creatures who delight in intrigue and who wouldn’t think twice about double-crossing someone in order to save their own skins.

Their calculating natures will never forgive or forget a slight. They can be lazy and self-indulgent. Their innate elegance can at times be ostentatious.Subtle, secretive, elusive and enigmatic, there is an element of the mysterious that surrounds the Snake personality. Perhaps this is due to their intuitive faculties, or perhaps it is a consequence of their strong inner spirituality which can manifest itself in an interest in religion, mysticism or the occult.

A Snake can be counted on to carry a project through to the end. Their decisions are quick and firm, but they are formed by first impressions, on sympathies and feelings logically assembled in their minds — rather than by simple facts alone. The Snake will fight and plot for anything they believe in and allow nothing to stand in his or her way. At ease in all circumstances and possessing uncommon self-discipline, the Snake achieves great heights and honors in his or her career, enjoying the well deserved respect of an admiring entourage.Snakes are a bit tight when it comes to lending money, though their sympathy for others often leads them to offer help. The help will be in kind rather than in cash, however; the Snake is freer with himself than he is with his money!

The fatal flaw in the Snake’s character is, in fact, a tendency to exaggerate — in helping friends as with everything else. If a Snake does somebody a favor, he becomes possessive toward them in an odd way, so that finally he is more a hindrance than a help. The snake’s serpentine nature leads him to coil and cling to the point where he can suffocate the object of his attention. Think twice then, before you accept an offer of help from a Snake; you could regret it!

In money matters, the Snake has good luck — he simply doesn’t have to worry about it. He will always be able to get money when he needs it, and he feels this so strongly that it has never bothered him at all. Once he has got it, though, he’s a little stingy; that’s why he never lends. In old age he can become quite miserly.

Snakes are notoriously good looking and like to project the best image of themselves that they can. Both men and women of the sign have elegant and stylish taste in clothes; the men are sexy and always have a bit of the dandy about them, and the ladies are seductive and rave over smart accessories. Whether in looks or in circumstances, Snakes simply have a magical knack of making the very best out of the most mediocre. In Japan, those wishing to pay a woman a compliment and acknowledge her beauty are accustomed to say: “My dear, you are a real snake!” — a pleasantry most likely to be misinterpreted in the West.

As with real snakes, which hibernate in the cold season and come out when it’s warm, Snake people shine in the hot months. And the Snake born at midday in the heat of a tropical summer will be happier than one born in the middle of an icy night in winter. The destiny of those born under this sign is so sensitive to the inclemencies of climate that the almanac warns Snakes born on a stormy day that they will face danger throughout their lives.

You have a deep affinity with the agent Fire. In China, this element corresponds to the planet Mars, the red colour and the number 7.

The Sensual Snake

The Snake personality is described as careful, and when it comes to the choice of a partner these people are infinitely selective. For them, only the best will do. Elegance will be one of the first attractions, but so too is good breeding and delicate manners. When they find the partner of their dreams they will brook no opposition, allow nothing to stand in their way, until they win the heart of the object of their desire. Having won their prize, they then become possessive and jealous, fearful that it should slip out of their hands. Deeply passionate, these are demanding lovers, highly sensual creatures, sexy in the extreme. Lady Snakes are ultra-feminine — sultry, exotic creatures, femmes fatales in every sense. Success and power will turn her on and she will probably make a beeline for the richest and most influential person she can find.

Those born under the sign of the Snake often tend to be afflicted with a wandering eye, especially the Snake males who delight in women. Unfortunately, both sexes tend to complicate their lives with extramarital affairs. If they can struggle against this trait and succeed in channelling their affections inwards towards their own families, they will gain enormous serenity and inner harmony in their lives. If the Snake settles down, he or she can become a marvelous parent, creating a calm and stable atmosphere for their offspring.

The Snake will often have a large family — for him, it’s just one more way of making sure that his wife has no time to play around like he does.

Compatibility

Ox, Dragon, Rooster

The Rabbit, Ram and Dog are on good terms with Snakes, but the Rat and the Rooster annoy them. A firm alliance can be achieved with the Horse. The Snake will be happy with the Ox, who is content to be overrun by this family on condition that the Ox is always accepted as boss — a role that the Snake willingly concedes in the home. The Boar should beware of the Snake who will impose upon him, ensnare and immobilize him, while the Snake wallows in his own faults, knowing that he can get away with it.

June is the month of the Snake. The time of the Snake is from 9:00 a.m. to 10:59 a.m.; their direction of orientation is south-southeast. The Snake’s color is red

The Snake

Chinese Symbol for the Year of the snake

Ancient Chinese wisdom says a Snake in the house is a good omen because it means your family will not starve. This could be taken metaphorically to mean that a Snake could never have a problem with his family starving because he is such a great mediator, making him good at business. Or it could mean that a Snake would be willing to sacrifice his possessions, something the Snake has a lot of, in order to pay for his family’s food. Any way it is interpreted is representative of the Snake’s character and is a measure of the value he puts on his material wealth. The Snake is keen and cunning, quite intelligent and wise.

Years of the Snake

Snake Years are sixth in the cycle, following the Dragon Years, and recur every twelfth year. The Chinese New Year does not fall on a specific date, so it is essential to check the calendar to find the exact date on which each Snake Year actually begins.

The Snake will plot and scheme to make certain things turn out exactly as they want them to. THE SNAKE LOVER
Snakes are beautiful people who exhibit quite a sexual appeal. They are sleek and seductive and if they want you, will out a spell on you that won’t let you stop thinking about them. However, Snakes are quite prejudiced when choosing a partner and don’t just choose based on physical qualities. The Snake needs a partner who can appreciate his quirky sense of humor and his wacky way of handling situations, so generally, although quite beautiful and tempting to approach, the Snake does all the pursuing.
MARRIAGE
Because the Snake is so choosy, he can become jealous and obsessive about his partner. They can be a bit stand-offish with their mates, choosing to push away emotions rather than confront their feelings and insecurities. Once betrayed, you can bank on not ever being trusted by the Snake again as much as you can bet he will get even.
THE SNAKE LOVE PARTNER
Not everyone can live and be happy with a Snake. It takes a patient soul, someone ready for the long haul, who can calm his nerves and deal with his obsessions with skill. Chinese horoscopes are very specific about which partnerships have the potential to be successful in love and in business. Yet, though destiny can point us in the right direction, we must still make all efforts to maintain loving relationships. Born under the sign of the Snake, element Fire

Chinese astrology is brought to us as a legacy of age-old wisdom and invites us to develop an awareness of our inner potential. It is believed that the wise man is not subjected to stellar influences. However, we must gain the lucidity and the distance without which we remain locked up in an implacable destiny. According to the legend of the Circle of Animals, Buddha summoned all the animals to bid them farewell before he left our world. Only twelve species answered Buddha’s call. They form the Chinese Zodiac and symbolize the twelve paths of wisdom that are still valid nowadays.

The Asian wise man considers that a path is neither good nor bad. One can and must develop one’s potentialities. The first step is to thoroughly know oneself.

In China, the Snake is associated with wisdom. You belong to the category of people who would not let life ensnare them and prefer to carefully ponder over their decisions. You are stable and level-headed, you try to qualify your judgments and review problems thoroughly.

Lucidity is certainly one of your prevailing qualities and it will be difficult to take you for a ride, all the more so since you don’t like situations where your feelings are manipulated! The people who would strive to thwart your plans would run the risk of a merciless retaliation. Snakes are cold-blooded: you remain in control of your actions, even and especially when you are in a difficult situation. Therefore, in case of crisis, you become a talented and particularly tenacious schemer who is to be dreaded.

You may indulge in some sort of Machiavellism, influencing in the dark your close friends’ behaviour. Behind the scenes actions is your speciality. You manage to keep your distances in all circumstances, and this is probably the source of the charm that everybody agrees to credit you with.

Better than anyone else, you can get whatever you fancy, at your own pace, with your own methods. Some people consider this ability as a gift to bewitch one’s entourage. In any case, it is undeniable that you have a remarkable knack for playing with your entourage’s emotions and affects.

Chinese astrology has five elements, which are referred to as agents: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water.
